Art & Culture

Mexico City art galleries are part of the reason the world is talking about the Cultural Capital of the Americas.

They come and they go - with something for everyone. But Mexico City's visual and contemporary art scene is white hot with the innovative, the funky, chic, cool, and crazy. That's in addition to the staid, classical, hard-to-find, and the unmissable.

There are now a number of annual events, from February Art Week, to September's gallery weekend, that provide intellectual impetus, artistic insight, and inspirational nights out, to anyone willing to look.

These pages are intended to make it all a little easier, to keep more galleries on the map, and to get you out, and into some of them.

Off we go!
