“Galería Vórtice came about under the premise of exhibiting pictorial works and presenting these to the city’s artistic circles as independent ideas. These are open to the creative freedoms and coexistence among artists.”

They’ve also presented the the work of younger artists from many different cities in the country; Mario Várguez from Mérida, Yucatán, Juan Gorupo from San Luis Potosí, and Antonio Loza Hecht from Guadalajara, Jalisco, just to mention a few.

Any visit to the Galería Vórtice is a good chance to get to know the other galleries and museums located in the same neighborhood. There are many. Just a block north of the Avenida Álvaro Obregón thoroughfare, there’s a lot in the neighborhood to see and do.
