Galería Rullán on Insurgentes Norte

A non-profit space, Galería Rullán opened with the hopes of supporting Mexican and international artists. Now running a regular exhibition and opening-party schedule, it’s a surprisingly successful space. It’s also, quite often very well attended.

For nearly ten years, their annual group show has been one of the most important for the sector of commercial and decorative arts. Now displaying a simply astonishing number of artists, they also show no sign of slowing down. Even for the particularly high-minded art-set, there’s nearly always something to inspire, to surprise, or to charm.

A mere stone’s throw across Avenida Insurgentes from the Sunday Jardin del Arte art tianguis, you’ll find a similar work by many artists. It’s also playing its part bridging the space between the whitehot San Rafael art scene and the equally trendy Tabacalera neighbrohood.  But the Galería Rullán also gives you the personalized service that comes from knowing and working with all the artists whose work they are selling. Many are dedicated, and many more are simply astonishingly good at what they do. For all that, it’s always quite a different gallery.

The gallery is open weekdays from 11 a.m. till 2:30 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Monument to the Revolution

As elusive in meaning as it is allusive, the Monument to the Revolution is as eminent as the events it commemorates

Plaza San Carlos - Parque Tabacalera

The Tabacalera Park is the former garden of the Palace of Buenavista...

Frontón México

One of the most curious of Mexico City art deco buildings, the Fronton sat abandoned for 20 some years. Today, it's a casino and jai alai court once more.

Metro Revolucion

A great way to get to the monument and the museum, but a few steps into the Tabacalera neighborhood and you'll be glad you came.

Arredondo \ Arozarena Gallery

One of the highlights of the Tabacalera contemporary art scene, Arredondo\Arozarena is not just decking the walls.
