Libraries & archives are as old as Mexico City itself. In fact, Mexico City welcomes researchers from all over the globe. With good reason. Many of the archives and records kept here are unique in the world. Below is a running guide to the archives and libraries in the city.
Most archives require the use of face masks and gloves, so you'll want to bring those with you.
There are also access restrictions specific to nearly every library and archive in the city. Most of those referred to as libraries allow for general public access, except for special collections. Most of those referred to as articles will have their own standards for checking accreditation.
