Galería Celda Contemporánea

Celda Contemporánea is an exhibition space within the Claustro de Sor Juana University. Within the 17th century San Jerónimo convent, where Sor Juana secluded herself, the space is part of every exhibition.

Since 2012, Celda Contemporánea has invited three artists for each exhibition, allowing them to work within the space and to be in dialogue with the history and the ideas therein.

Located at the left corner of the Grand Cloister, (the main courtyard) of the University, the gallery open to the public, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
