Metro Revolucion

Metro Revolución is on Line 2 of the Mexico City Metro. It’s of key importance for reaching the Monument to the Mexican Revolution, which is a quick walk directly south. The station logo depicts this very stoic monument.

The station is a first stop for residents in both the Tabacalera and Buenavista neighborhoods. As entrances are on both sides of the street, Puente de Alvarado, the name of this section of the Calzada Mexico-Tacuba, is a fairly prominent stop.

In addition to the Monumento de la Revolución , international visitors often use this stop to visit:

• Frontón México, right on the Plaza de la República;
• The National Museum of San Carlos, also on Puente de Alvarado;
• And for points in the east of the San Rafael and Santa Maria La Ribera Neighborhoods. Among them, the Museo del Chopo, as well as many along this section of Insurgentes Norte. (This is less than a block to the west of the station.)

In 2018, more than 10 million passengers traversed this station. A walk to the Plaza de la República, the Monument and Museum, and the Tabacalera neighborhood is always richly rewarded. Tabacalera is a collection of mostly broad streets, and interesting early 20th-century architecture, and to boot, a short distance to picturesque Paseo de la Reforma, a favorite among tourists.
