This museum highlights everything about Mexican music, its variety and development from its black, European and indigenous roots; the collection highlights musical instruments of the different regions of the country, built using different materials and techniques.

Reproductions of pre-Hispanic musical instruments are also on display, as well as Tlatelolcas remains and bones. The museum is divided by region, so that visitors discover the differences between areas and the similarities that make up the music of Mexico.
